Multiple seat adjustments: 8 position swivel seat for ease of patient ingress and egress, 6 position recline seat back for hip angle adjustments, and fore/aft patient positioning
Symmetry monitoring to measure bilateral power
Resistance mode Isokinetic for step speeds from 10 to 210 steps/minute
Linked upper and lower body linear pattern
Adjustable position handles with articulating hand grips
Cushioned footplates with stabilization straps
Advantages and Clinical Applications
Combined upper and lower body movements provides full body workout, building strength and range-of-motion and utilizing wellness programs to increase longevity
Dependently linked, linear motion pedals enables users to self-adjust the stroke length to accommodate their range-of-motion capabilities
Closed kinetic chain provides low impact movement
Quadrilateral exercise pattern allows users to distribute the exercise efforts across four limbs. By reducing the effort from the involved limb and transferring a greater effort to the uninvolved limbs, they will maintain an elevated heart rate to achieve exercise potential
Additional Features & Benefits
The footplate is designed to accommodate patients with shoe sizes from two to twenty-two. Additionally it allows a patient with “average” size feet to be positioned in concert with the seat position and linear bearing mechanism to ensure little to no anterior draw of the tibia and placement of the patella deep within the femoral groove. The relationship of the: foot position and seat along with the movement pattern of the linear bearing system offer a well-received multi-joint closed chain exercise providing a force along the integrity of the bone and with controlled force production can be applied for osteoporosis and partial weight bearing exercise protocols.
Adjustable fore/aft seat position offers easy access to both the clinician and patient to quickly set the maximum hip and knee flexion for the patient’s range of motion.
Six position adjustable seat back enables both the clinician and patient access to determine the extension position of the patient’s hip. This complex is designed to offer six seat back positions from 110 degrees to 135 degrees. Along with the fore/aft positioning, this feature allows the clinician to set hip extension and flexion from terminal knee extension to pre-determined knee flexion which is an important factor for total hip patients.
Pivoting hand grip is designed to relieve the stress about the wrist which occurs with a fixed position hand grip while allowing an accommodation personal the lever of the patient. This provides a move comfortable environment for long and/or high intensity exercise sessions.
